		<description>Could the parable of the barren fig tree in Luke 13 be construed to be evidence of Jesus&#039; ministry being that long?  &#039;Lo, these three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none. Cut it down; why should it use up the ground?&#039;  Could he have been referring to his own passover visits to Jerusalem?  Obviously I am speculating here, but that question hits me almost every time I read that passage.  Is this parable considered to be an authentic Jesus saying by those who are into determining such things?</description>
